As standard we can accommodate up to 100 guests for a Wedding Breakfast and up to 120 guests for an evening reception. On occasions we can increase the capacity for evening receptions to 200 guests by offering use of an additional Stable barn onsite (date dependant). We also have function rooms available on site that are perfect for smaller, micro style weddings for 10-30 guests.
Yes we are a licensed wedding venue and a legal civil ceremony can take place on site. Our wedding licence covers ceremonies in our Victorian Manor House, 17th Century Converted Barn and outside in our English Country Garden. To have a legal civil ceremony onsite you must book a registrar to come on site to conduct the ceremony, the registrar needs to be booked via the Wokingham Registry Office. Religious blessings and ceremonies conducted by celebrants are also permitted on site (please note religious blessings and ceremonies conducted by celebrants are not legally recognised and a civil ceremony with a registrar will still need to take place at some point to make the marriage legal).
We have a variety of different wedding packages available, some that offer exclusive use of our hotel and some that don't. We are an independant wedding venue and have the flexibility to tailor our wedding packages to suit a couples' individual requirements.
Yes we are able to host weddings seven days a week. Discounted off-peak wedding packages are often available for couples looking to host a midweek wedding.
Yes we are a dog friendly wedding venue. We are happy for a wedding couple to bring their dog along to share their entire day with them. If guests would like to bring their dogs we can offer dog friendly accommodation and ample garden space for dogs to run and play. We can also recommend dog sitters to help assist with juggling a wedding day and looking after your four legged friend.
We have a great recommended wedding suppliers list that features a host of trusted local wedding suppliers. You are however welcome to use suppliers that are not featured in our list. Please note suppliers bringing in large, electrical equipment will need to provide us with public liability insurance and PAT testing certificates before coming on site. Please note that suppliers bringing drones on site will also need to provide us with copies of their drone licence.
Yes bands are permitted on site. We recommend a 3 or 4 piece band as an ideal size for our wedding barn. Bands must have their equipment PAT tested and have valid public liability insurance to perform on site. We do not have a sound limiter on site but are located in a residential area and therefore ask bands to stick to a 85 decibel sound limit in order to be respectful to our neighbours.
Yes fireworks are permitted at our wedding venue. For health and safety reasons all fireworks displays must be provided by our recommended Wedding Supplier - Star Fireworks.
Our normal finish time for weddings is midnight, this means the bar stays open until midnight and music is played until midnight. The licence for our main wedding room can be extended to 1am for an additional fee. We also have a residents bar available on site that is available for residents only to use for a period after the wedding has finished.
Yes biodegradeable confetti is permitted outside only. We have sheltered outside areas available for the confetti shot should the weather be inclement on your wedding day.
